Carodejuv Ucen plot
The story is about the boy Krabat. He arrives at a mill near the Kosel Swamp, where he works as an apprentice. The mill turns out to be a school for the dark arts. The miller is a master of the dark arts. His twelve servants are also his pupils, both for the miller's trade and "everything else". They cannot run away from the mill, the Master has made sure of that. Whoever tries to escape will notice that his way always leads back to the Black Mill. It is only with the Master's permission that one can reach surrounding villages.
