In Ban Jin Ba Liang, Michael plays Joseph Wong, the miserly boss of the Marnix Private Detective Agency who spends more time and energy keeping his employees lean and hungry than solving cases. The three catch a shoplifter, pursue an adulterous woman and try to help a movie theater fend off mafia 'protectors'.
