Avignon plot

Stéphane and his troupe arrive at the Avignon Festival to perform “Ma Sœur S'incruste,” a boulevard play. There he meets Fanny, an up-and-coming actress starring in a classic, and falls under her spell. Through a misunderstanding, she imagines he is playing Rodrigue, the lead in Corneille’s prestigious Cid. To seduce her, Stéphane begins a lie that he must maintain for the duration of the festival… but which will soon catch up with him.
