Ankles Preferred plot

"An Intimate Story of Silk Stockings"

Department store employee Nora is determined to succeed based on her brainpower despite her attractive ankles. Soon, she lands a job as a model at McGuire and Goldberg's store, and they announce that Nora might travel abroad if she persuades their financier to lend the partners extra money. The financier, Hornsbee, becomes overconfident, which leads to a meeting between him and Barney, Nora's young suitor, and she is ultimately happy to accept Barney's modest attention.
