A Million to Juan plot

"Money can't buy everything. Yeah, right."

Juan Lopez (Rodriguez) has had many jobs, but still no residence permit. When he sells oranges, he receives a check for a million dollars from a stranger in a limousine. It is an experiment, he is not allowed to cash the check and must return it, but can use the check as collateral for transactions. All kinds of people who think he is rich now want to give him money too.
