Funny fake biopic about the life and music of Weird Al Yankovic, played here by Daniel Radcliffe. Which, by the way, works fine. The joke density could have been a bit bigger and about halfway through it gets a bit rough, but the enthusiastic cast and the silly script eventually pull the film to a more than satisfactory level.

Hmm.. this is a bit difficult.
I had to laugh for the first half of the movie. You don't expect a standard biopic with Weird Al, and it certainly isn't. Total nonsense mixed with funny things from his career which is funny if you grew up with him a bit.
But in the second half it seems a bit like they have no idea where it all has to go and it is hardly funny anymore and actually often downright irritating. Unfortunately.

Good movie about the singer Weird Al Yankovic. And like most of his songs, you could also call this a parody of the regular biopic (especially the first and best part of the movie). Lots of nonsense, but entertaining nonetheless. A nice cast and Daniel Radcliffe does a great job in the title role. A small 3.5 stars.
