Die Luft zum Atmen plot
Miriam, an actress from a famous family of Hamburg actors, suffers from cystic fibrosis, an incurable hereditary disease that damages the lungs. After realizing her dream of becoming an actress herself, she meets Pit on the stage. When she becomes pregnant, her family, friends and doctors remain questionable. But Miriam believes in herself, as always, and trusts her body. Unfortunately, after the birth of a healthy son, her relationship falters. She then finds herself alone with her child and her illness.
