This biography tells about the legendary American chess player Bobby Fischer. Fischer was a grandmaster who eliminated his Russian opponent in the 1972 World Chess Championship final in Reykjavik. It was not just a match between two chess players, but a battle for prestige between the Soviet ideology and that of the United States, obviously strongly influenced by the Cold War.
