Uma História de Amor e Fúria plot
"My heroes were never turned into statues. They died fighting against the ones who were."
Through a love story between an immortal man and the woman Janaína, the film follows 600 years of Brazilian history. The story begins in the sixteenth century where Brazil is still dominated by the Portuguese settlers and then ends up in the Brazilian struggle for independence of 1826, the struggle against the dictatorship in 1968 and a futuristic Rio de Janeiro in 2096.
