The Story of Santa Claus plot

Nicholas, a friendly toy seller, and his wife Gretchen are kicked out by their heartless landlord because they can't pay the rent. They have nowhere to go and only have a bag of toys, which they want to give to the children of the island where Nicholas grew up. Along the way, Nicholas and Gretchen are caught in a terrible storm and eventually end up at the North Pole, where Nostros, the leader of the Elves, lives.
