Heavy setback.
The Nightmare Before Christmas can fascinate me for about 10 minutes. After the opening everything falls apart and it becomes a succession of humorless humor (the shortcoming) and repetitive songs.
At 76 minutes, this is a very short film and I am extremely grateful for that.
The voice acting is decent. There is a lot of singing and the singing itself is always not too bad.
It is also obvious that this comes from the Tim Burton stable. The atmosphere is quite dark and it is all original. I also like the stop-motion animation and the music (not the sung parts) is also okay, but as a whole it doesn't bother me at all.

Don't know what to think exactly. Nicely made and nice atmosphere, only the story didn't really grab me, but that doesn't mean it's a bad movie. The movie is only 76 minutes long but I thought it felt longer. It is also clear to see that this comes from Burton. Found the beginning and the build up to the end a bit too long. That could all be a bit shorter so that the end part was a bit longer. The musical part didn't bother me too much, I thought it was funny.

As a fan of animation films, I had never seen this one before. May never want to see. It started out too grim... and oh yeah, that singing...
But recently I started it, and… I'm completely blown away. wow. How could I ignore this movie for so long.
I saw an explosive amount of nice finds, beautiful images, witty humor, striking characters, and whatnot. And it just raged on. And also... how current!
With that grim destructive woke movement of today, who also want to break down at Christmas time,... # do they (presents) bite... do they snap... or explode in the sack?.. #, # there's no foot inside.. but there's candy! #
