The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest plot

"Cleaning up the planet one villain at a time."

Short of money for his criminal activities, Joker makes a deal with Lex Luthor to kill Superman. Batman, of course, chases Joker to Metropolis, informing Superman of Joker and Luthor's plans. The two superheroes mistrust each other at first (they mix like oil and water), but find each other in their joint battle against evil in the nights. During the day, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent compete for Lois Lane's attention.
