The crime-fighting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles protect the sewers and streets of New York City. After years of being shielded from the human world, brothers Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic deeds. Their new friend April O'Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate. However, the Turtles are in deep trouble when an army of mutants is unleashed on them.

The film was sold as 'the best TNMT films ever'. In the meantime, there have been some films, animations and series with the turtle heroes with varied quality. Sometimes too much humor, sometimes too little. In the trailer for TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, the turtles had a very young voice, which seems like it was really made for teenagers. But they're teenagers, of course...
And what a wonderful surprise. It is nice to see that there is a little more deviation from the standard drawing style that we know from Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks. They focus less and less on their own style. The Spider-Man animated films were already a breath of fresh air in the animated blockbusters and this TMNT is also wonderful to watch. Beautiful drawing style that immediately takes you into an adventure. It is a warm style that also links to the comics.
This is perhaps the best TMNT movie, or at least at the top of the list. Nice drawing style, jokes that work, fascinating characters and enough action and momentum in the story. The story itself, however, is sometimes a bit poor. We've seen it all before and the plot can be perfectly written down in 3 sentences. Pleasantly surprised with this movie anyway!

More aimed at kids than millennials or gen-x, but still a really cool movie.
Visually fantastic and a unique style, which can best be described as dynamic concept art, splashing on the canvas.
After animated films such as The Mitchells vs the Machines, Into and Across the Spider-verse, this is again a modest animation revolution. With super cool old school hip hop soundtrack.

A big surprise.
Didn't have high expectations for this movie myself, but since I heard that this had the same style as the cartoon version of spiderman my expectations rose enormously. And that's why it failed.
As the title says: total chaos, yes there is in this film. In addition to the story, which was really well put together, there is a lot of action thrown at your head. And even though this is a cartoon, I still liked it myself.
I liked it, but I think that purely because it has the same drawing style as Spiderman, all expectations are very high due to the mega success of that film.
So all in all a good movie but don't expect this movie to have the same style as Spiderman and be as good as Spiderman.
