One of my least favorite Disneys. The story didn't appeal to me at all and I also found the animation quite mediocre.

The only good thing about this movie is the voice cast in the original version with Billie Joel, Bette Midler and Ruth Pointer. The rest of this film is not very memorable.

Maybe it's because the day before yesterday I saw Home on the Range, the absolute low point between the Disney films, but I thought Oliver and Company was not that bad. Well, it's far from it. The first thing I noticed was the ugliness of the animation, it was really disturbing how unkempt everything looked. The story is sort of Oliver Twist meets The Aristocats/101 Dalmatians, not very fantastic but created just enough buzz to keep it fun. I wouldn't put it on again in a hurry and it's definitely two strokes less than The Black Cauldron and The Great Mouse Detective, but in the end it was okay.
