A mysterious explosion occurs in the center of Seiretei in Soul Society, destroying it. When Ichigo Kurosaki goes to Soul Society to investigate, he is attacked by the Shinigamis, his former friends. No one in Soul Society can remember Ichigo or Rukia Kuchiki. Alone and on the run, Ichigo sets out in search of Rukia, hoping to determine the cause of the strange turn of events.
