Antz plot
"Every ant has his day."
Z is a worker ant who feels unimportant among the thousands of other ants. When he meets the princess Bala, he immediately falls in love. He trades places with his soldier friend Weaver, to get a closer look at Bala during a parade. Unfortunately, just at that moment war breaks out, and Z has to work as a soldier. He grows into a hero.

Whehe, Woody Allen stars in this animated movie! He just plays himself (but as an ant), and I can always appreciate that. I can never get enough of his neurotic characters. Unfortunately, the rest of the voice actors with big names didn't really stand out, while you could expect that. The story itself is also straight forward with some nice jokes on Woody's side and the animation looked simple too. Not brilliant, but entertaining enough for a good pass.

Decent animation film. It all looks great, the voices of the actors (including Allen, Stallone, Stone and Bancroft) are well chosen, and the humor works. The story is not that much and is again full of predictable drama, sentiment and even some romance. The playing time is just right, because at times it started to get a bit long-winded. This way it remains an entertaining film with plenty of entertaining moments.
