Seen it so many times, but I can't stop watching it. Something with the atmosphere I think: humor, cozy, nerdy, a bit country. But also threatening and ultimately a deadly serious goal to help people to be warned earlier.

Nice and fast film, indeed with some unbelievable things... but especially the ending is too unbelievable and that's a shame... could have been much better. I mean just a mega F5 nice in the sun??? When you see F5 videos on youtube it's as dark as night for miles around.

So one point less.

But otherwise a very nice movie.

Saw Twister again today, it was a while back for me (I think 20 years ago) so I was looking forward to it. I had good memories of it so was curious if I would still have the same sentiments.

Result: a full YES .... it remains a really nice film with a bit of humor (sometimes misplaced in my opinion because I really can't imagine that you think it's cool and start cheering when you almost die), lots of action, nice CGI (really not bad for the time) and of course there is also a love story in between (which in my opinion does not become boring and also fits well into the story) and there is the standard “bad guy” in the form of a competing storm hunter who is a real jerk (this character was quite cliché and a bit “over the top”).

I read in many comments that many people denounce the CGI because they are going to compare it with today. I continue to find that amazing because that way you can never watch an old movie (which includes CGI of course) because it does indeed become obsolete over time. If you criticize the film for the clichéd figures and scenes then I understand that but not the CGI because that was the cream of the crop at the time. If you think like that then you can never watch movies like King Kong, Jurassic Park or Lord of the Rings because if you look back now you will see that compared to now it is not quite right. I don't think that's fair for the movies of that time.

In short, Twister is a nice entertaining movie that is nice to watch, I don't regret watching it again. I found out that this film has not yet been rated by me, but it just gets a big 7 for me, or a 3.5 here on MM.
