Savage Drums plot

The boxer Tipo Tairu returns from the United States to his native island, which is located off the South China coast in the Pacific Ocean, after he made a career in America as a prize fighter. Tipo must determine that his family is in danger because communists led by Borodov have recently taken over the island. Tipo teams up with King Maou, the island's former head, to fight the communists after learning that the communists killed his brother Rata Tairu. Tipo also wants to know more about the involvement of his cousin Talio'o in Rata's death.
