North West Frontier plot
"Two people trapped by fate. In a country with no destiny."
British India, 1905. Muslim rebels gather in the hills to storm the Maharaja's palace and kill his son, a six-year-old Hindu monarch and future leader of the country. The Maharaja asks the British to take his son to Delhi to safety. Captain Scott is able to get the boy and his American governess Catherine Wyatt out of the palace just before it is attacked. Upon arrival in the garrison city of Haserabad, Scott discovers that the last train overloaded with Hindus fleeing the Muslim rebels has left the city. However, Scott comes into contact with the Indian engineer Gupta, who has an old and still operational shunting locomotive.
