Nice and above all an entertaining old-fashioned thriller with a special role of lead actor Roger Moore. Normally he always plays the womanizer in a charming way, but in this film he hates women (he also explains why at a certain point) and prefers cats. He also looks a bit strange with, among other things, a ridiculous beard and mustache (not wearing a suit this time either) and he also embroiders

Although the story is now quite dated (at the time quite topical due to the first and still only female prime minister of the United Kingdom, namely Margaret Thatcher), the film managed to fascinate (it never really gets exciting and there is also relatively little action) and the execution was also good. The latter is of course mainly due to protagonist Roger Moore who does it well (including humor) in his role of the grumpy deep-sea diver and adventurer Rufus Excalibur Ffolkes, but also by Anthony Perkins in the role of terrorist Lou Kramer. The other cast, including James Mason, do a creditable job. The ending was nice and because the film only lasts about 90 minutes, it also looks good.

All in all just a nice old fashioned Thriller to have seen once and nothing more.

Nice film in which an oil platform is hijacked by criminals for ransom. Despite the fact that the film largely takes place on the oil platform, the plot is fairly standard. The film feels like an action film, but there is almost no action in it. A fairly exciting ending and an entertaining role from Roger Moore who also has some nice one-liners here.

Enjoyed. In its own way, this is quite a suspenseful film, with a particularly strong role from the psycho from Psycho, Anthony Perkins in the role of a charismatic villain who plants bombs on two oil rigs to get ransom. The heavy burden of countering this villainous act lies in the hands of a petulant, grumbling, cat-loving and misogynist captain. Ffolkes' sexist statements can only make you laugh, especially when he says that cats as a race are more superior than women. Not great, but a fun movie.
