Yes, a lot goes wrong in this movie. The actors are awful, although it comes in gradations (I had to look up the name, but Nate Rubin in particular was terrible). Although the cliché characters they have to play don't help either, with a very irritating villain-with-golden heart and an even more disturbing doctor abroad who continuously starts whining about the village where she has to save lives. The plot is, as expected, also not much. It's supposed to be set in Mongolia, but it all looks very American, with the only concession being that they've cast a few random Asians in supporting roles. And interesting plot twists or suspense, well no.

But still, Mongolian Death Worm had something. It's incredibly pulpy, cheaply made, but I thought they were pretty cool monsters (concept-wise, anyway). I've seen more Syfy pulp than I'd like in my life, but I found this one of the more entertaining. In fact, just almost an adequate one.

The formula is simple.

Some unknown bad guys +

a number of slightly less unknown good guys, preferably consisting of a few of the female beauty +

1 or 2 that are actually not that bad + a non-human 'monster' + a stupid story that anyone can come up with within 2 minutes.

Result: a lousy film that is best enjoyed by the real enthusiast. Silly funny entertainment.

Usually judged with a score between 1.5 and 2.0 on moviemeter.

keep it coming

Once you notice 2/3 of this formula in a movie to watch, DO NOT expect MORE than the given result.

Enjoy watching !

Watched today, nice to see, was expecting a copy of 'Tremors'', but this is a slightly different kind of movie.

The worms in this film protect a kind of tomb with a treasure, 1 man hunts here and another group, we also see 2 doctors who are just on their way to a village where people are sick.

These people cross paths and then work together.

The worms are fairly often in the picture and neither fake or dark scenes, that was not so bad, the story was quite thin and simple, the location looked a bit boring and the factory was bare with only a few people.

Still, I enjoyed myself with this, although it never gets really exciting or gross.
