Legenda o Tile plot

The story is set in Flanders, during the Eighty Years' War. Tijl Uilenspiegel sees how the country is being torn apart by religious disputes and the massacres of the Spanish Inquisition. Jealous neighbors report each other to the occupying forces for the slightest reason, while the Spanish king is only after their riches. No longer willing to face this misery, Tijl decides to take up arms against the Spanish occupier.
