Jack London plot
"He is a man!"
The year is 1890. Young American Jack London quits working in a cannery to improve himself by working for an illegal oyster farmer. Somewhat later, the wanderlust Jack embarks on adventurous world trips and reports on them. He travels through the Bering Strait, tries to mine for gold in the Yukon Mountains, and he tries to get a short university education. Jack also witnesses the Russo-Japanese War and speaks to Japanese generals, from which he concludes that the United States can also expect an attack in the future. Along the way, Jack has many short love affairs. The successful Jack has many stories and ideas when he returns home and he gets to know the attractive Charmian Kittredge. Yet Jack finds no peace with Charmian. His urge for adventure and travel is too great.
