Christmas Mountain plot

"A cowboy comes to a town at Christmas time."

A cowboy comes to a town during the Christmas season. He eats at a bar but is unable to pay for his meal. That's why the owner has him thrown in jail. The people of the city also want to alleviate their collective debt of a poor Mexican family. A pregnant woman lives with this family and they live at the top of a mountain appropriately named Christmas Mountain. The townspeople can persuade the cowboy to bring the family clothes and food. And this while the youngest son of the family is praying for him to send a little help for him. This help comes in the form of an old friend of his who passed away years ago. He tells him that he doesn't really live a decent life, but that he will get the chance to change things around him. He tells the townspeople that their charity to the Mexican family is really not enough.
