The comic "Bluntman and Chronic", which Jay and Silent Bob (known from the previous 4 Smith films) modeled for, is being made into a movie. Jay and Silent Bob receive nothing from the proceeds of the film, and are also dismayed at the bad name they are now getting on various internet sites. They decide to travel to Hollywood to prevent the film from being made.

Jay and Silent Bob Well, you gotta love it. The humor is of a questionable level, but I sometimes had a good laugh about it. The cameos are fun, the actresses are stunning and the story is quite nice and sometimes very meta. You have to understand the many 'inside jokes' to fully enjoy this film. A film that first and foremost wants to make you laugh and doesn't pretend to want to be anymore. Great entertainment

Nice movie about the two stoner friends who want to prevent a movie being made about them. Lots of in-crowd humor that only works if you're familiar with Kevin Smith's earlier films. Compared to that, this film lacks some sharpness and a larger budget does not always work in favor. Nevertheless, there is more than enough to laugh about here.

I was a bit worried that this rewatch would be disappointing, but nope - still well entertained with the stoner humor of Jay and Silent Bob. Of course not every joke lands and some gags go on a bit too long (such a Will Ferrell for example, or those Charlie's Angels), and of course it is often very bland and a lot of underpants fun. But I had a great time with it, with a lot of nice cameos and bit parts as well. Still going to look for Clerks 2 soon.
