'Your lies are like bananas, they come in big yellow bunches!'

Obviously not Nielsen's best work and at times so incredibly bland, but at the same time so entertaining that it doesn't matter. Nielsen with his bone-dry head can get away with a lot, but Richard Crenna spewing brilliant one-liners also does a great job. At times the jokes miss the mark, but for the most part it's at least snickering to laughing out loud at jokes about one-armed, one-legged, and one-eyed thugs, anacondas, trains, and fiddles.

Typical Leslie Nielsen film, in which the jokes follow at a very fast pace.

The problem is that sometimes the jokes are, but most of the time they are not fun and/or successful. That's not because of Nielsen, who is as dry as always, but the jokes just seem much less well written. The experienced film viewer will see parody pieces from, among others, The Fugitive, The Godfather, and Mission Impossible.

If you like that, there is probably still something to enjoy. However, if you're looking for good and successful jokes, then I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place.

Well, a typical Leslie Nielsen film that is totally in the same vein as his other films like Naked gun, Spy hard or Police squad. Jokes and pranks with often nice references to other films. This is where The Fugitive comes to the fore and there are also references to Star Wars and plenty of other movies.

Of course it's not all high-end, but it is entertaining. The children also like this quite a bit, even if they don't understand all the references to it. Bland jokes are interspersed with better things, as long as everyone enjoyed them.

Nielsen is really cut out for these kinds of roles. He has the head and personality for it. Within the genre of fun film, in general we should not upgrade this too much of course.
