Defendor plot
"An unexpected hero will rise."
Arthur Poppington is an ordinary man with delusions, who at night reveals himself as a 'superhero' the Defendor. He scours the streets in search of his nemesis Captain Industry, a drug and arms dealer he blames for his mother's death. Together with Katerina, a prostitute he meets, he tries to destroy Captain Industry.

I'm still waiting for the first really good semi-superhero movie. Kick-Ass disappointed me. Defendor is already a bit better, but doesn't really do much for me either. The whole problem with Defendor is that it's just nowhere really special. Woody Harrelson excepted then. He actually puts down a very nice, retarded character. It's also quite comical here and there. The problem is, Defendor fails as a comedy and fails even harder as an action movie. The tone is just too serious in my opinion. Without Harelson it would have been very poignant anyway and I would probably have given it a star. My hopes are and will remain pinned to Super for the time being.

Quite a nice movie with a different story. The film may not be top notch but it managed to captivate me and also had some nice moments. The one carrying this movie is of course Woody Harrelson who did it pretty fun and well. The beautiful busty Kat Dennings was a nice addition to the story and especially for the visual aspect

Clearly more drama than comedy though the character of an excellent Woody Harrelson mal
and at times comical, but it is gradually deepened with an increasing drama content, and
at the end there is even some sentiment in relation to the prostitute. The movie also gets something
grim traits. The motive for his actions is also tragic, of course. With the fun that
Harrelson's character doesn't have the abilities of a superhero and tries that through some creativity
to compensate. But the film doesn't really work on the smile. It's amusing, and the film seems sneaky
ridicule the countless superhero movies.
