I wish they had made a better movie. The first twenty minutes are fun, but have nothing to do with the plot of the film. As soon as Kirsten Wiig, Pedro Pascal and the weakest McGuffin ever are introduced, the brakes are on. Done with the fun..it's dead serious, annoying drivel and it takes up to 1:22 minutes in the movie for the suit to come on again.

I felt like Ian Malcolm while watching this..."eventually you are going to have Wonder Woman in the movie are you?"

Well okay... in the end there's more womanned towards the final, but did that really make me happy? The finale itself is the most ridiculously pathetic thing I've seen on screen in a long time and the fight between Wiig and Gadot at the end looks like Catwoman and Catts had hate sex and this is the result. No...just no.

I thought that Imagine video was the craziest thing Gal Gadot had starred in in 2020...I was wrong.

Well.

Gadot and Wiig are pretty nice, and some locations are too. Too bad about the story and soundtrack, a lot of supporting characters and a few of the action scenes. Oh, I'm not really into the superhero genre, that doesn't help either, but even if I forget about that for a moment, it's kind of sad when you consider that this film apparently cost 200,000,000. Ok, dollars, so monopoly money - not real euros. Really, wtf, how many starving kids and polar bears they could have had a great day with that.

A delightful, slightly over-the-top superhero film with an endearing heroine. Nice plot (although with the logistical problems I had to think of Bruce Almighty), an image of the time that fortunately does not become too ironic (no extremely blow-dried haircuts, etc.), an unexpectedly moving climax, and a Gal Gadot who also convinces in the "dramatic" scenes (and fortunately, because after the start in the "mall", Jenkins chooses to let the film do without any action scenes for a long time so as not to overload the viewer, not a bad choice in itself ). Nice role for Kristen Wiig too; when she meets that drunk for a second time, there is a pretty nasty scene in which she probably would have killed him if the homeless Leon hadn't showed up), but unfortunately she disappears quite silently after the action climax the film, I missed some "closure". Anyway, a moan who whines about it after 2½ hours of tasty entertainment. (In the Dutch remake, Max Lord will be played by Pierre Bokma, boy does Pedro Pascal look like him here.)
