Dutiful and uninspired film that leans on the great trilogy in which Jason Statham plays a very strong lead. Ed Skrein is a real clown to me and as miscast as can be. Ray Stevenson manages to give a bit of shine to a deeply sad film with his role.

The Transporter franchise is always Jason Statham anyway. Just saw the Taxi series by Luc Besson, by the way, which the Transporter films have looked at closely. Not surprising in itself, perhaps with Luc Besson as producer of the Transporter series. A new actor isn't necessarily bad. As long as it's a good movie. After all, there is still 7 years between this film and the last one with Statham.

Ed Skrein has the thankless job of taking over the torch. He is an incredibly dull guy who has forgotten his charm at home. The film also lacks a good opponent, so everything falls on the action. It is not that bad, but it lacks the necessary spice everywhere. Little fun in this film, only Ray Stevenson (the most acting experience) provides pleasant moments. Action isn't bad, with a good crew and some budget behind it. But it is not recommended any further.

The tall, slightly lanky Skrein cut his hair short, grew a stubble, and donned the same three-piece suit Jason Statham had, and Delamarre thought that would be enough to make Statham forget. Incorrect, of course, because Skrein's emotionless play and routine fight scenes only prove that a skilled actor like Skrein needs more than some combat training to be able to convince as an action hero. Moreover, the muddled plot about women forced into prostitution who take revenge on their 'boss' Karasov [Radivoje Bukvic] is mainly an excuse to review many female fashion models in sexist roles written by men. “More for men” certainly applies here. But especially for men with low expectations.
