Anyway, just a note about this film. Because apart from Commando (1985), I've never seen a movie more often than this one. This is mainly because I had rented it from my pocket money for five guilders or so at the time and thought that it was only profitable if you had seen the film ten times.

Years later I recorded it on VHS and watched it gray again. You can call me a Turtles fan I guess

I give the film 2.5 stars, but with this one comes a fat sentimental star.

After the success of part 1 came this sequel soon. The budget was increased to 25 million dollars, which is reflected in the somewhat larger sets and the presence of the new characters Tokka and Rahzar. Originally these were going to be Bebob and Rocksteady, the mutated boar and rhinoceros from the cartoon series, but the creators of the Turtles, Kevin Laird and Peter Eastman, were against this. Like the first film, Jim Henson's Creature Shop was also responsible for the design of the dolls in this film. And this time they look great again.

The dark undertone from the first film has unfortunately disappeared and has been replaced by a more kid-friendly, humorous undertone. However, this makes this sequel quite childish. The story, which is partly inspired by one of the Turtles' earlier comics, called The Fugitoid from 1984, is thin and the action scenes are also not nearly as spectacular as in the first part. A disappointing sequel.

Pure entertainment

Wonderfully nostalgic viewing food, how often I have rented this video tape in the past

And it remains brilliant, still the best turtle movie yet all thanks to:

- a captivating and entertaining story

-fantastic scenes and locations

-more than enough action

-and humorous turtles, which are also really funny
