"Dedicated to the X congress of VLKSM (Soviet Communist Youth Union)."

Seven Russian adventurers embark on an expedition in the icy far north in search of precious rocks. One of them dies during a snow storm. Meanwhile, the pilot and the doctor fall in love. When the government finally intervenes, the doctor is allowed to stay to care for the ailing expedition leader.
