The weak story, very mediocre characters and Jovovich, who only has to run a bit, are also unchanged in this part. The setting does make up for it though; the special effects remain mediocre, but the setting is nevertheless the best aspect of this film.

I actually think this is the best of the first four I've seen. More than likely, it is the setting in the desert that catches on. A desert that was formed after the apocalypse of zombies. Visually, even after all these years, some extra attention for the terrifying zombies.

Furthermore, a number of nice scenes where the crow attack catches the eye, literally even. It never gets really great, but it is entertaining. This film also builds up nicely to the next part. Jovovich remains great although I did miss her red dress ...
