Yi Sa Bui Lai plot
The day that Macau is handed over to China, Shing has a bad day. Temporarily suspended from the police force, he seeks solace from a pretty girl he happens to meet. His day doesn't get any better when it turns out to be his own daughter. Shing's life is turned upside down when she moves in with him.

Remains stunning.
The film that took Pang to another level. After some funny (and already quirky) comedies, things got serious with Isabella.
It may start out a bit strange, but then a very beautiful and subtle drama unfolds between two characters who in themselves are not even that pleasant to follow. Visually very impressive, the soundtrack is also quite unique and atmospheric. The acting is also top-notch, there is little to complain about with this film.
Pang will soon be releasing two more films, keep it coming because after Isabella things haven't really gone wrong anymore.

Sensitive film about the unlikely rapprochement between a police officer with a somewhat dark past and his forgotten but open-hearted daughter, who is his opposite in almost everything. A beautiful and sweet story with a laugh and a tear, which almost never becomes heavy-handed. The series of encounters between daughter Yan – a beautiful role by Isabella Leung – with her father's sweethearts is particularly funny. An atmospheric film, not least because of the beautiful cinematography and the appropriate soundtrack. The acting is very convincing.

A special meeting between two outcasts. One turns out to be or to have been a police officer after a corruption scandal. She a prostitute. Turns out they are father and daughter. Trust and getting to know each other grows systematically. The film also grows in that area, but I never really got involved.
Nice camera work, partly handheld, but also more stable. Beautiful color shades, especially green and red. The appropriate soundtrack does the rest to create the atmosphere. Acting is indeed more than up to standard.
