Mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill is living a happy life with his pregnant wife Nirdosh when he suddenly hears that a nearby coal mine has filled with water. Dozens of workers appear to be trapped and Jaswant comes to their rescue. He devises a daring plan to free them, although everyone around them doubts his plan. However, Jaswant remains hopeful and confident. His mission is not only complicated by the flooded mine, Jaswant also has to take into account corrupt officials and impatient villagers.
