These 6 children are unusual. Their names are Max (14 years old), Fang (14), Iggy (14), Nudge (11), Gazzy (8) and Angel (6). They are special hybrid people; they were given 2% avian DNA in their human DNA. They escaped from a laboratory called the "The School". They were helped by their caretaker (Jeb Batchleder), and they have been living in the mountains ever since, even when Jeb died. But when The School's guards capture Angel, they embark on a thrilling journey to get her back. Along the way, their mysterious past is revealed, as well as some wonderful secrets.
