Michael Jai White is back in the ring in this third part of the franchise and demands a clear leading role for himself. Very wise because the second part was very disappointing. This does not mean that this part was so super strong. The story was quite sloppy and the MMA influence towards the climax was quite gloomy to very limited. All in all an upward trend after the second part. Perhaps some hope for an even better fourth part!

After Michael Jai White played a minimal role in Never Back Down 2, he plays the leading role in this third part. In itself a good idea, because he can fight well. However, this third part is quite disappointing. Quite predictable, but also with too much dialogue too often, which makes the amount of action somewhat disappointing. Action scenes are okay, but it is a pity that the story is quite weak and that the last fight is first of all too short, but could also have been more involved with MMA.

The first part of the Never Back Down series was a great action film with a very nice cast.
The second part then took a completely different turn and had little to do with the original, but that did not detract from the fact that the film was easy to watch and the fight scenes were well executed.
This third part continues happily with lead actor Michael Jai White who again hits out with great conviction. The fights are well designed and never bore. However, it is the long-winded filler between the fights in which no cliché is avoided. What is offered shows an enormous laziness and lack of creativity.
In short, the scenes between the fights are ideal for a toilet visit. The acting is structurally substandard and starts to irritate after a while. Fortunately, all the worthless actors beat each other to a pulp, which then provides a slight sense of happiness.
Mediocre film that is only suitable for enthusiasts.
