Huo Yuanjia (Jet Li) dreams of following in his father's footsteps and becoming as legendary fighter in China as he once was. After he achieves his goal, a personal tragedy causes him to disappear for years. No one hears from him again until he suddenly appears at an international tournament.

Stays good.
A precursor to the Yip Man series, which took martial arts away from the mythical realms and grounded it back. Although the legend about Yuanjia is nicely exaggerated here.
Visually still very strong, although the CG is a bit too showy at times. The fights are still top notch and it's a joy to see Li in a role like this once again. Since his "departure", Hong Kong has really had a problem. Jacky Wu and Donnie Yen are nice, but can't replace him, especially in this kind of work.
Drama is bold, but the action is of a very high level. Also enjoyed it a second time.
