The end of the 14th century, the Joseon dynasty. Woo Moo-chi and his bandits are rescued by pirate captain Hae-rang and her crew. After hijacking a Japanese pirate ship, they hear a rumor that a large-scale royal treasure from the fallen Goryeo dynasty lies somewhere above a dangerous island. The two leaders join forces to find the fabulous riches. However, they are not the only ones looking for the treasure. Bu Heung-soo, a militant rebel who dreams of becoming king of a southern island, confronts them.
