Intense mix of genres; a bit of young adult, a bit of SF and action, a lot of action. The first hour, while certainly not bad, is very inconsistent, with a number of scenes that don't really matter. But then... the second hour offers explosive entertainment, masterfully portrayed. The action scenes are of unprecedented quality; I have rarely seen better. Everything rams through to a spectacular climax with of course the inevitable cliffhanger. Bring on part two.

Reasonable action mystery. The story is quite nice, although somewhat vague. The execution is somewhat inconsistent. The first part, in which the mystery is slowly unraveled, is quite tough and slow. The second part is a lot more entertaining. In it, the viewer is treated to a portion of delicious action in which the blood flows abundantly. The action scenes are expertly captured with the necessary CGI. This part of the film makes up for a lot. 3.0/3.5
