Korea during the 14th century. The emperor's royal seal is stolen during a transport the night before the founding of the Joseon dynasty. When it turns out that the seal has been swallowed by a giant whale, the emperor orders the seal to be recovered. Captain Yeo-Wol is held responsible by the Emperor for losing the seal and is given 10 days to recover it before consequences follow. But with a huge reward for anyone willing to find the seal, countless bands of pirates and thieves also set out. Among them are the bandit Jang Sa-Jung and his team of misfits and the former captain who was deposed by Yeo-Wol. The factions will have to face each other and the whale that lurks underwater...
