No. This was not for me. I don't like zombie(ish) movies and this one was a bit too slow for me. It's funny to see how this and that come to an end. Just not enough here.

A loud, savage heavy metal sci-fi western with a lot of action and that on the red planet. With a model train. Nice. Still, not a very good turn by Carpenter, who seems to be recycling whole bites of his own oeuvre. Narrative a gang, for a few striking one-liners you don't have to be here and you will forget the characters again. Although there is little wrong with the blonde. Ice Cube bravely tries his best as a badass, but it's not a Snake Plissken. That role should have been for Statham, you are now inclined to say. Creepy, no, there's no time for that. Freaky is, with all those Mars Indians. I can't hate it, but that's about it.

Quite a disappointment from Carpenter!

Many famous names pass by here in this chaotic work such as Ice Cube, Jason Statham (with her) Pam Grier, Joanna Cassidy, Clea DuVall and Natasha Henstridge. Despite a nice cast, this film does not captivate. The main reason is that the film comes across as somewhat ridiculous; eg the mutants, the costumes (sometimes looked like a costume party) and Richard Cetrone as Big Daddy Mars. Weak story that offers little or no suspense. 3/10
