"When the mission ends, redemption begins"
An Indian boy, the son of an incarcerated international criminal, is kidnapped in the capital of Bangladesh and held in one of the most impenetrable cities in the world. A skilled assassin named Tyler Rake is then hired to free the boy and return him to his family. During his rescue mission, Tyler is also looking for redemption.

Extraction is a wonderful action film in which everything runs smoothly through the booklets. Not very innovative in that sense, but that doesn't matter. It looks a bit like a rehash of Man on Fire and that's all. At the end of the film it wants to radiate something like this, but in terms of level it is just too little. Chris Hemsworth does a great job he is really the man for this role. Nothing to remark at all. This film is good entertainment but as many people have said before, it could have been a little harder.

Dertien-in-een-dozijn actiefilm waarin een huursoldaat c.q. eenmansleger de gegijzelde zoonlief van een drugsbaron moet zien te redden. Het broeierige Bangladesh is een originele setting en Thor-acteur Chris Hemsworth deelt ook zonder hamer rake klappen uit, maar verder is het zozo.
