While investigating a drug trafficking app, "Monster Cop" Ma Seok-do and his team discover a connection between the app's developer, who was murdered in the Philippines, and an illegal online gambling ring. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Baek Chang-gi controls the Korean market for illegal online gambling and spreads terror with kidnappings, assaults and murders. His partner, IT genius Chang Dong-cheol, is hatching an even bigger plan in Korea itself. Detective Ma Seok-do [Don Lee] travels to the Philippines to take down the gang responsible for the death of Choi [Kim Mu-yeol], the son of a restaurant owner friend [Choi Hee-seo]. Because this criminal gang mainly operates online, Mae Seok-do must team up with Han Ji-su [Lee Joo-bin], an expert in Cybercrime, and Gang Nam-Su [Lee Dong-hwi], who specializes in digital forensics. Kim Mu-yeol is a formidable opponent and the action scenes are as usual. Seok-do's poor knowledge of and frustration with technology and cybercrime gives this fourth film in the franchise an extra dimension, making it a nice and smooth mix of action and humor.
