“I once had strings, but now I'm free... There are no strings on me!”

Avengers: Age of Ultron remains a spectacular blockbuster with all the ingredients you would expect from a Marvel movie. Slightly less than its predecessor, but still very entertaining. Age of Ultron is overcrowded again anyway, and this time it sometimes feels very rushed. The humor is good, and fortunately the actors are again very well attuned to each other.

Thor, Cap and Iron Man have been well-done in the previous films, and now the focus is on Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye. Johansson, Ruffalo and Renner know how to handle the extra screen time, and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Quicksilver (Taylor-Johnson) and Vision (Paul Bettany) are great additions. Ultron himself is nothing more than a decent bad guy, but if you give him the voice of James Spader, everything becomes more exciting. Overall, Age of Ultron is a somewhat unbalanced film, but fortunately it remains an entertaining blockbuster like only Marvel can deliver these days.

Quite enjoyable to a certain extent, lots of spectacular action, beautiful images and the film looks well cared for, but in the end I thought it was just a soulless whole. And also a considerable waste of all that acting talent that passes on the screen. the other movie star comes by, but despite the length of Avengers: Age of Ultron, everyone has too little screen time and too nonsensical or annoying texts to really profile themselves.

And if they had only provided those 142 minutes with a strong and well-crafted story, that would not have been such a problem, but now the film goes over the top and finally collapses under its own weight. quite tiring and has cured me for the time being from all those overcrowded superhero movies.

Compared to this vehicle, a film like Logan, for example, was a breath of fresh air.

Mediocre.
