The 2023 Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, with The Fabelmans and The Banshees of Inisherin coming away with the most coveted prizes.

There was also history made at the ceremony, as Angela Bassett became the first actor to win a Golden Globe for a performance in a Marvel movie, as she earned the win for her outing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The Fabelmans won Best Drama, while The Banshees of Inisherin won Best Musical or Comedy.

In terms of television, Best Drama was won by The House of the Dragon, while Best Comedy was given to Abbott Elementary.

Little Sammy Fabelman grows up in Arizona in the early years after the end of World War II. Already in childhood, he has found a great passion in cinema and makes films with his friends. He feels supported in this by his mother, a skilled pianist. His father is a computer scientist whose colleague Benny takes on the role of uncle to Sammy and his sisters. This family dynamic eventually leads to tensions that seep into Sammy's audiovisual creations.
