A not very exciting Grisham film adaptation that is saved by the excellent (as usual) role of Hackman. Therefore more than worth it.

This one was on TV and watched. I didn't think it was a bad film, not a thriller, more of a drama, but nevertheless worth watching. This is mainly due to the acting performance of Gene Hackman and also Chris O'Donnell.

The story was captivating enough to keep you entertained for the entire run.

Reasonable film in which a lawyer takes the case about the death sentence of his grandfather. A film about racial hatred and the death penalty, but with both subjects it remains somewhat superficial. Gene Hackman is doing just fine (something that is especially visible during the finale). The course has few surprises, but the film remains entertaining and therefore only 3.0 stars.
