"When the undead can evolve, no one is safe."

Two men, Patrick and Jack, and a young girl try to stay untouched and survive by hiding in a godforsaken town called Harmony. But something terrible seems to have happened between Patrick and Jack, causing them to hate each other. When the dangerous beasts reappear, they must put aside the disagreement to protect the one who means everything to them.

Not much happens in this film, but the build-up is quite nice and the characters are just interesting enough, although the character development is predictable. The CGI isn't very strong, although the setting is otherwise atmospheric. The climax is quite good, although the film doesn't end very strongly in the end.

Mediocre film, more drama than horror. I don't mind that in itself, mind you, but as a drama it isn't very successful; the story is just too thin. As horror it isn't a success either; there are a few decent scenes but generally too little action. The special effects don't even look that bad and the acting isn't too bad, but the story isn't really refreshing, the ending in particular is quite weak. Not a passing grade.

... so you sit there for years (9 years) and in all that time you don't manage to get radio contact sooner?! And just when you do succeed, these creatures suddenly decide to attack in groups at once. And what was that strange male voice on the radio supposed to be? Was that because he was slowly going crazy? ... if so, then I found that particularly disappointingly executed.
I love apocalyptic movies. This one isn't anything special, but I watched it all the way through anyway.
