Ko-Ri-A plot
"It wasn't gold that brought them together."
The dramatic story of the first hastily formed Korean team to participate in the 1991 1991 World Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan. Two world-class players, South Korean star Hyeon Jeong-hwa and North Korean LI Bun-Hee who only know each other as opponents, now have to get along as teammates. Conflicts and mistrust arise between them. But after a few matches, a budding friendship develops between them. When the political situation between the two countries changes and a sudden announcement is made to disband the team, the two young women must prove to their people and the world that teamwork can transcend the dark shadows of a painful history.
