Die Stadt ohne Juden plot
The politician Schwerdtfeger, a fanatical anti-Semite, believes that Austria is dominated by the Jews. When his political party comes to power and he becomes prime minister of Austria, a law is issued requiring all Jews to emigrate before the end of the year. The law is enthusiastically received by the Austrian population and the Jews leave the country. However, it soon becomes apparent that this was not a good plan: cultural life is impoverishing because all good Jewish singers, actors and artists have disappeared, the cafes are empty and the economy is stagnating because all Jewish businessmen have left...
