La Merveilleuse Vie de Jeanne d'Arc plot

The Life Story of Joan of Arc. The peasant girl Jeanne d'Arc (Simone Genevois), from the small French village of Domrémy, grows up during the Hundred Years War between England and France (1337-1453). A voice from God calls on her to help her country by liberating Orleans and transporting the Crown Prince to Reims for the coronation. She manages to convince the French crown prince of her calling. Joan of Arc disguises herself as a man and is given access to a French army. She wins several victories over the English, but is eventually captured and persecuted as a witch.
